Climate Care Certification can now be achieved for your pool cover

The Australian Swimming Pool and Spa Industry has released the voluntary Standard for pool covers. The Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) and industry have collectively worked on AS5348 Pool Covers Standard. The primary objective is to establish a set of bench marks and tests that pool covers must meet in order to be considered effective at reducing costs associated with pool cover heating and evaporation.

Climate Care Certified program has been developed to cater for products, systems and installation that creates a new benchmark for swimming pools and spas that utilises:

1. Water Efficiency/Sustainability

2. Energy Efficiency

3. Environmentally Sustainable Designs

4. Efficiency/Sustainability Innovations

5. Noise Reduction Measures

The resulting accreditation of a Climate Care Certified pool cover means that manufacturers and retailers can claim that consumers can rely on the fact that they are purchasing a well-designed and manufactured product that can help the environment.
